Clutch Looses Pressure after Redline Shifting
Edit: Loses. Fml
Hey guys, running into a slightly odd problem in my S that I really want to get sorted out before I proceed with my build. We just installed a CC stage 4 clutch about 500 miles ago.
Is there any way this could be caused by too much fluid in the master cylinder? I think the last time I topped it off I went over the fill line by quite a bit.
Anyway, the clutch pedal loses a lot of pressure/weight after shifting at high RPM's (7K+). The pressure slowly returns afterwards with normal driving/shifting.
I can still feel the clutch engaging properly when I reach the "catch point", it's just that the pedal itself feels inappropriately light. It doesn't stick on the floor either, and I haven't noticed any leaks in my master cylinder.
If anyone has any ideas on what to look for, please let me know!

I have this same problem as well. but i'm on the stock clutch still. I notice it the most when i do 25KM on the highway at 4000RPM (120km), then when i engage the clutch is so light and take no effort. Almost like you could do it with one figure. The Clutch fluid is full, but it hasn't been change in a while. The strange thing is after the highway driving and i start to do some city, the clutch slowly gets firmer again. I thought it had something to do with heat and fluid expansion.. but i don't know.
ps. i have a stock 2007 ap2

I'm thinking the first course of action would be to bleed the clutch lines, but I wanted to see if anyone here had any personal experience or insight for this first. I also want to wait until I can get a friend over at my house so I can have them push in the clutch while I watch how the fork and slave cylinder are operating.

^^ Crazy!
That's a good idea! I was thinking about replacing the clutch fluid as well and adjusting the pedal engagement. Also doing this: https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/370...-clutch-pedal/ because mine clutch is a bit sticky down low.

Just now I lowered my fluid level a little bit and it seemed to make things marginally better (?)
I'm pretty sure this is somehow a problem with the lines getting pressurized so I'm going to go ahead and bleed my clutch lines this weekend and see if that remedies the problem.
Edit: Thanks for the link Jorden. I'll be sure to try cleaning up the slave as well (something about this sentence sounds really, really wrong lol).

Interesting. Sounds like a lot of people are experiencing issues but I'm the first one to complain lol.
Like I said, I'll bleed the clutch lines this weekend and see if that helps. If anyone else has any ideas, please let me know. I'm hoping this is something relatively minor (I suspect that it is).

Mine does the same thing. One quick run to redline makes my pedal light and smooth. I have new fluid and new master cylinder. It doesn't really affect drive-ability for my day-to-day commute so I'm not going to bother looking into it unless it's a quick fix.
