Found issue taking down tranny again
Seems we found the issue with the clutch pedal feeling notchy.
The piece broken was the hanger, clutch release. One side was broken off but still held in place with the bolt. The other side was fine.
This tranny has 175k miles on it so I would recommend anyone replacing the clutch with a high mileage tranny to just get that piece to avoid any of these issues from creeping up.

Not sure if it’s possible doing it from the slave hole but the mechanic took down the tranny to replace the clutch fork, which the tips were also worn a bit, the hanger and spring to eliminate any other issues.
the fork tips on both sides were not smooth vs a new fork but not sure if that effects it’s performance.

So it ended up being the fork hanger?

Haven’t driven the car yet. Tranny is getting put back in but this is how it looks. Makes sense since the symptoms were the same with the act pressure plate and oem. But we shall see in the next hour.

Glad you got it sorted.

Can’t seem to catch a break.
Now this morning, I get a check engine light. Went to autozone and it says the knock sensor is bad. I read online it’s common when doing a clutch or tranny but the mechanic says he never touched it. Don’t think he will be wanting to fix it.
