Clutch installation or replacement
My mechanic said he dropped the transmission for the clutch replacement but was not able to put it back on because there is no room without having to drop the engine also (he recommends this because he does not want to damage anything doing it wrong - will cost more too). Is this correct?
Thanks

yes the engine needs to be dropped. without it, the 3 top tranny bolts are impossible to get to.
print out my guide and hand it to your technician. this is the shortest and simplest way of doing it. the whole walkthrough is on page 2.
