Any loctite on the flywheel bolts, or anywhere else?

Yup, the four corner bolts hold the subframe, that's why you only lower them 3 inches.

The whole thing takes me about 5 hours on my car, on an untouched car a little longer.

No loctite on anything, just torqued to spec which is 94 ft-lbs

Thanks for the write-up. I've been contemplating doing this on my own or just paying someone to do it. This thread definitely pushes me towards a DIY.
Is the trans a pain to line back up when you're putting it back on?

Could you post up the torque specs for all the bolts you have to loosen? Or post where to get that info...

I don't have a Helms yet.

One thing I haven't seen anyone talk about is the flywheel. Can you resurface it yourself? Do you just buy one that already has been and swap yours as a core?

Great write up and pictures... Thank you!

You take it somewhere to have it done. Most machine shops/clutch places will do it. It normally runs around $50.

The shaft slides right in if you use a clutch alignment tool or simply use a broom stick as a guide
