Default Clutch grabs right off the floor

Recently I've noticed the engagement point changing on my oem clutch. It's an 03 with 35k miles.

The clutch grabs immediately off the floor. To the point where it actually feels difficult to put the car in gear. The pedal is very mushy; the first half of the pedal is virtually useless since the friction point is so low (or close to the floor). Is this something that is adjustable, or is this my hydraulic tranny telling me that my clutch is almost dead? now I know you can adjust the pedal itself but that obviously isn't going to adjust the friction point.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Check the fluid. The master cylinder is known to leak.

Master ...o yeh ..already said .....just add fluid to the master cyl ...btw I did this for months then my MC stopped leaking ...it could have had some air in the lines ...after added fluid it takes many shifts to return back to feeling better ...good luck

Sweet. I'll run out and get some brake fluid and check for leaks. I'm an id. can't believe I didn't even check the fluid level yet :/

Definitely clutch fluid issue...a worn clutch will grab high.

Empty it squeaky clean with paper towels before you add brake fluid.

Are you suggesting that I bleed the whole system?

Well, as it turns out, the reservoir was completely full. I added a little bit until I realized this. The clutch is still grabbing about less than an inch off the floor, (which I suppose isn't terrible), and the clutch pedal is still very soggy until about the half way point. Perhaps it still needs to be bled, but I checked under the clutch pedal and there are no leaks to be found.

yes, any time you introduce air into the system you will have to bleed it for good measure.
