so driving around yesterday and during the 2-3 upshift hear a loud clank and clutch pedal drops to the floor. Great.
So call up the neighbor whos a towtruck driver and get the beast home. Proceeded to the liquor store, got a nice lil case of mgd and drop the trans, to find out the clutch fork pivot snaped in half causing the clutch fork to #### up the pressure plate.

my jaw litterally hit the floor. Being an automotive technician for my career i've pretty much seen everything but this shocked me. i mean its a pretty beafy piece of metal to snap in half like that and i was "casualy" driving lol.

At least im on vacation...

yeah. happened to me about a month ago. clutch pedal started shaking and went to the floor. thought it was my slave cylinder but when i took it off i noticed my fork was loose so i pulled the trans and the pivot hook was snapped in half. the part was cheap but they said they only had like 5 in the whole u.s.

yeah it was the oem pressure plate. and yes the part was only like 30 bucks. seeing as i have some down time while i wait for my new clutch to get here took the opportunity to do a few upgrades.
