Mind you, I haven't looked at my clutch fluid in a long time. I checked it a few times in the first 10k miles or so. It never changed so I kind of got out of the habit until this thread brought up the question. For a reference, mine is maybe a shade or two darker than what your picture looks like. I have no idea of how long it's been the color it is. I've not had any problems with the clutch so I'll probably have it flushed out around the 30k mile mark.

but I didn't see any reference to clutch maintenance in the owner's manual maintenance schedules. I guess Honda figures the clutch will wear out before you need to bleed the fluid?
In reality, depending upon the humidity and climate where you operate the car and how you operate the car, you will need to change this fluid long before the clutch wears out. Clutch/brake fluid can suck up water just sitting there. That's why you are NOT to use such fluid from an open container. On the other hand, we've all seen people screw up their clutches within a few thousand miles.

Not quite true. If you look at your maintenance schedule, there is a reference to "checking fluids" and I think it indicates "annually" or every xxxx miles. I believe this has Honda covered legally insofar as this sort of maintenance. It is up to the owner to inspect these things in an appropriate manner and make his/her own call as to whether or not it should be changed (on an annual basis).
