Clutch felt different- LOOSE
So I testdrove a different stock s2000 at a dealership tonight and it was TOTALLY different from mine. When I pushed down the clutch it was a lot firmer than mine. Also, when I drove the s2000 shifting was VERY smooth. It was almost like it was a totally different car.
In my s2000 the clutch pedal goes straight the the floor with little to no effort. When I shift it is not comfortable... the car kind of jerks a little.
Is the clutch in my s2000 bad?? I just bought the car HONDA CERTIFIED less than 2k miles ago.
The clutch has felt this way since I purchased it.
Thanks!
Anthony

With a new car, or new stock clutch, the pedal effort is very low. As the car gets some miles the disc wears, and you loose leverage on the pressure plate springs. The pedal effort will increase. It's not a problem, just a normal condition of the clutch wearing. Untill it slips there isn't a cause for concern.

Do you know the history of your 2K car? Was the clutch replaced? Many are....
Sounds to me like the clutch was not bled properly. This would give you both symptoms you describe. If you are mechanically inclined pick up a Helm Manual and do it yourself. The Helm Manual is the Honda service manual. If you are not take the car in and have it re-bled.

It was doing this when I purchased the vehicle. I bought it at 21k miles., since then I put about 3k miles on it (one month )
I bled the clutch last week. I guess I will do it again. My car shifts poorly compared to the one I drove last night though
I have to kind of feather the clutch each time I shift or else it'll jerk a little bit

Try replacing the tranny fluid first and see how it shifts after that, should at least help the feel of it. As for the clutch I know my stock clutch was stiffer than the factory clutch it was just replaced with. The new one has little to no pedal pressure, very different feeling like you explained.
