What weight and type of oil is in the tranny?

Thanks!
Not just at redline, but when accelerating briskly, would be in vtec and have some boost built. And it's standard Honda MTF I believe, I changed it back in the spring.

The clutch is not in contact with transmission fluid unless there is a big problem.

Is there a S2000 mechanic or enthusiast in your area that can drive your car and compare it to theirs? Maybe if they can confirm that your clutch does feel funny at high RPM, you can further pinpoint the issue.

Have had exactly the same problem before: clutch felt "normal" when driven normally, once hit 6,000rpm VTEC, clutch turned to that "soft feel", everytime!

Dealer found nothing wrong but changed clutch for me nonetheless... under warrantee... but cured nothing. Clutch still got "soft" once revved up the range.

Another mechanic found a leaky slave cylinder to be the problem. Had it changed, problem fixed. Clutch remains "normal" no matter how I drive ever since.

But you've checked your slave cylinder to be fine, so I don't know. Just sharing my experience that somebody else experienced the "soft" clutch when revving hard.

I appreciate it! Yea I have yet to find an issue, it seems to drive just fine and no odd noises. Where was your slave found to be leaking? I've checked under the reservoir, behind the clutch pedal and the pedal itself, and the slave. I'll just double check this weekend for any leaks, but I haven't noticed low fluid.
