Default clutch engages differently after fluid change

with great help from fellow s2ki'er darren, i replaced clutch, tranny, engine, diff, brake fluids on my s2k last weekend!!

before the clutch fluid flush, the clutch engaged with the pedal depressed not more than couple inches. I could shift by just tapping the clutch. however after the flush, the clutch engaged much deeper. i can even push clutch in 2-3 inches while driving and feel a bit of resistance, which would be the engagement point.

is this normal when you flush the clutch? when we were flushing the clutch, we pumped a few too many times and air got in, but we added more fluid & flushed it out well. thx!

bleed it again, you may still air in it.

I would say you must have let the master cylinde run dry at one point in your fluid change and have an air bubble in the line.

Said air bubble will compress and cause you to need more clutch travel. I'd say do it again.

You could still have air in the system. Assuming there was nothing wrong with the clutch hydraulics, the clutch should operate as before the fluid was changed.
Another hint: After you have finished the clutch bleed, ensure the level in the reservoir is good, close the cap tightly, then go give the clutch pedal a few short, rapid taps (about half way down its travel). Then check the level again.
