Clutch engagement problem
When I try to change to third gear coming from redlining second gear, the gate on the third gear would not open. I could not shift into third gear. I then had to shift to fourth. This has happened 3 times when I was overtaking another car. Another time 2 days ago where the gate in third and fourth wouldn't open. The shift becomes normal again after. What would cause this problem?
I was thinking it could be me not stepping on the clutch all the way because of the excitement, but my clutch engages like 2 inches so I'm sure I'm stepping on it that deep. I have checked all the fluids; they all look good with the clutch fluid looking dark but I think that's normal? There is a tiny drip from the master cylinder.
The car has 43k on it now. I had it when it was 40K.

If your master cylinder is leaking, this is most likely the problem. The leak is probably causing air to get into the clutch line causing a "mushy" clutch feeling and not allowing the clutch to fully disengage when pressed down (I'm guessing this is what you mean by engaging at 2 inches).
I would check your clutch slave cylinder and make sure that's not leaking too. If it's not, you'll either need to replace or repair the clutch master cylinder and bleed the clutch line.

Before you do anything else, you should probably make sure that you are shifting correctly. Pay attention to what your left leg is doing and make sure that the clutch pedal is to the floor.

I think I worded it wrong for engagement and disengagement. I meant to say when I press down with my feet, the clutch disengage at 2 inches (2 inches measuring from when I press down).
From the picture, does it the master cylinder seems like it's leaking? I will check the slave.
I'm sure the clutch pedal is to the floor when I shift because when I couldn't get into 3rd gear, I then went to fourth gear immediately and it let me.
This doesn't ever happen at lower rpm, but only when I hit the rev limiter. If it's the cylinders, does the problems manifest more in higher rpm than lower rpm?

I had this issue but with every gear. Ended up fixing the issue with a good clutch pedal adjustment. There's a 12mm nut behind the pedal, turn it a 1/4 turn at a time so you can reverse it if you feel it's getting worse.
