Clutch engagement noise

Is it normal to hear some kind of mechanical noise(almost like a metallic grabbing sound) when you let go of the clutch in 1st gear. just a question out of curiosity.

i get the same noise only when driving slowly around 1800-2000 rpm, then everything is fine. granted, i have only had my car for a week (less than 800 miles), but it does seem kinda weird. my M3 never did this. let me know if you find a solution/reason.

My clutch has always had a rattly sound to it when I let the pedal out. I can also feel vibration in the pedal. It hasn't gotten any better or worse in 28K miles. I think it is just a noisy throwout bearing. I have read that the shaft isn't lubed from the factory.
