Clutch Delay Valve Symptoms...
#11
This clutch can get ruined in a few hundred miles if someone tried to launch the thing incorrectly repeatedly. These clutches can go nearly 100,000 miles is treated right. They can go in a few hundred if not.
ps. Noone likes to think it's "them". We all like to think we know how to shift. I can make my car do exactly what you describe if I give it just a bit too much gas just a little too soon before the clutch reaches it's friction point. "Ego" always makes us look elsewhere for the problem. I'm saying this is or isn't the case here. I'm just saying you shouldn't dismiss it so quickly.

But I will say that the clutch engagement point is at a different height than my previous car that I drove for 130,000 miles. So I'll be the first to admit it could be my doing.
Man... now I want to go out and drive right now... but I should go to bed, and my roommate is blocking me in. I'll be patient.
Thanks for all the suggestions!

I've never had the problem happen before in any other car (s2000 or otherwise.)

I highly doubt this clutch has been abused. If anything, my technique may need to be adjusted to better fit the car, but I doubt the previous owner abused the clutch, (I talked to him for a bit before purchasing the car from him) and she has seen nary a clutch dump from myself so far.
So hopefully the problem is me, because that's cheaper to fix.
