Can anyone give me a rough approximation of the cost of having a good lightened flywheel installed? Also, which flywheel to get? Which brand fluid to use after fixing the mechanism? Where to buy these?

Thanks,

Ken

The delay is there to allow the crapy heavy flywheel time to decel.

MANY people are getting serious clutch slip after removing it.
But, Billman, you did the valve removal. Are you now getting clutch slip?

I'm puzzled a little by your post.

I seem to remember people saying that the stock pressure plate is not strong enough, and that's what should be upgraded to avoid slipping especially with CDV-removal?

Mines removed and the first time (and only time) I launched the car (about 75miles after removal) I roasted the tires thru 1st gear and then roasted the clutch thru second, I mean it did not grab at all just revved to redline and smelled like a sushi bar. Clutch still feels weak 15000 miles later, but thankfully has not worn out completely yet (knock on wood).

I am planning to buy a Toda clutch and flywheel along with oem pressure plate, throwout bearing, and pilot bearing in the near future as I know I have shortened its life span considerably (total miles on car now 30,000 give or take.

I dont think that is the case because a ton of people are using the OEM PP with other clutches with no complaints
