Thumbs down Clutch is constantly engaged

if i go to start my car, in gear, its like im not even pushing the clutch in, so the car will move forward(or backward).

if its already started, i cant put it into gear, but the car acts like the clutch is there by nudging a little bit.

what are fixes and potential problems.

Also i got the car on jackstands, and it will go into gear with the car running but the wheels spin like the clutch pedal isnt depressed(but it is)....hmmmmm

is the clutch disc rusted to the flywheel? or is there something else?

try checking the clutch master cylinder or the slave cylinder. i'm not familiar with my s2k yet since i got it recently but for miatas, the slave cylinder is a common leak point on older cars. i replaced the one on my miata. autozone part was $29

how's the clutch fluid level? and see if there are any leaks.

yea, sounds like something's wrong with either the clutch master or slave cylinder.

my s2k recently gave out it's slave cylinder, stranding me in a busy street.
your symptoms sound very much like mine. does your clutch paddle have any pressure? when mine died, the clutch paddle didnt rise back up when i stepped on it.

WOW slave cylinders rarely seem to go out on these cars. Sucks you lost yours eunsangie. Master cylinder is the problem 99% of the time. I recently changed my mater cylinder as the pedal randomly started having a lot more play in it and releasing very close to the floor. The fluid in the master cylinder was low so I bled it and it fixed the problem until I got the new master cylinder on. You (the OP) may already be past bleeding the master cylinder though to fix your problems...a good way to check is to climb under the dash and check the piston attached to the clutch pedal, this is the master cylinder, it should be dry. If there is any fluid leaking around it's seals your master cylinder is bad for sure and will need to be replaced. Check the sixth picture down on this page to show you where to look: http://forums.s2kca.com/showthread.php?t=1...ighlight=master
If there is no fluid there, then it is most likely the slave cylinder. Chances are it's the master though...and if you have the money I'd change both. I think all I paid for the master cylinder was about $75 or so...give or take a bit. Check Majestic Honda's parts dealership, you can order discount Honda parts online. And here is the DIY for changing the master cylinder... https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=682374 once you get under the car to bleed it (I recommend a vacuum bleeder) you can trace the lines to the slave cylinder so you will know where it is as well if you decide to change it along with the master cylinder. Actually the bleeder screw is on the slave cylinder so you will definitely know where it is...if not you should not be working on a car! Good luck!
