Default Clutch

To start out I left my house, car is running fine perfectly lean as usual. I get about 1 miles away notice my clutch pedal didn't pop back up to me
so I pull over check the master clutch cylinder fluid (which was fine) then I pull the pedal back up and it is rock solid. I thought my master cylinder
went out since it was going bad and leaking fluid inside. I changed it and to no avail it is still not allowing me to push it in without a lot of force and wont
go into gear once the car is started. Goes into gears perfectly fine if the car is off as normal. Anyone know what might be the issue cause? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Sounds like you broke the fork mount or the ball end popped out.

Unbolt the slave and have a look.

Thanks I'll take a look after work. Could you tell me worse case scenario for each mentioned possibilities? Just want to get an idea of what will be required if either of those are the case. Thanks again.

Two scenarios (I just did a large write up on this..and will link to it)

1) Throwout bearing busted - If you look into the little hole near the "front" of the tranny, you will be able to see a bunch of ball bearings. If that is the case, your throwout bearing busted.

https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/102...owout-bearing/

2) Fork release hanger - If you do the above and see nothing, it is probably your release hanger broke for the clutch fork.

https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/822...-release-fork/

Either way, it will be a good $600-700 worth of labor to get it fixed. And as most people would suggest, might as well throw in a new clutch/flywheel while you're at it. But..be aware that if it is scenario 1, it may have damaged your clutch anyways, so a replacement may be inevitable.

I think the worst case is you buy a new clutch and flywheel and pay for the labor. But anyways, the link for 2 shows the parts for the clutch fork, and a throwout bearing is usually supplied with a new clutch. Both are rather cheap, it is the labor that will get you. Also, I have heard that you should get the HONDA throwout bearing...but who knows..

Goodluck!

Ok so I took a look, I wasn't able to get a peek inside the tranny but I did get something accomplished... Slave cylinder works fine, the fork has no pressure I can manually click it back and forth but I will not go back automatically. Sounds like some kind of spring. Let me know what you guys think, but definitely it is going to be taking the tranny out which is a nightmare as I did it last year when I changed my clutch. So upside at least I save on labor but getting the time is going to be hard.

Well ensure the fork is set inside the throwout bearing, then put pressure on it. If it still moves with ease then look at a strong possibility of the fork pivot point broken or the throwout is cooked and in that case yeah clutch is needed as well
