"Clunk" sound when coming to a complete stop?
I've noticed that the rear end of the car makes multiple clunking sounds mostly when coming to a complete stop and sometimes when accelerating from a stop. The sound is definitely not a single click that most have associated with a wheel bearing/hub failure. Any helpful advice or suggestions about what could be causing the problem would be greatly appreciated.

I haven't really noticed or felt any changes in drivability as the sound occurs, so I'm hoping that it doesn't lead to something more serious. Sound occurs just right before the car is at a complete stop (I don't downshift so I usually put the car in neutral at the same time applying the brakes as the car slowely comes to a halt and then *Clunk clunk car is completely stopped at the light).

I also get loud clunking sounds during u-turns and making wide left turns at slow speeds like when parking. There is also a whining noise that occurs during acceleration and when I let off the gas pedal the noise stops. Could these all be symptoms of a bad diff?

I have come to the conclusion that my rear end diff has gone out also/. Th whole clunking sound along with it not really driveable. Does any one have a AP2 differential for sale or know where I can look for one. MY s2k is only a 2002 year with 22k miles. I believe the supercharger I have in it was too much for the AP1 diff. Pease help!!!
