clunk / knocking noise from front suspension
im trying to figure out what's causing a clunking/knocking noise from the front suspension. it's intermittent and usually happens at low speeds, especially when there's a surface change in the pavement. for example: going up a driveway, slight dips, or expansion joints.
i installed my PSS coilovers with the help of a few friends, so i thought it was due to an installation error (although i've installed several in the past for different cars). at the time of installation, i didn't have the blue isolator rings from bilstein, which go between the spring perch and helper spring.
to eliminate the chance of error again, i took it to a reputable shop. they removed, disassembled, and reinstalled the front coilovers. also, they installed the isolator rings. so after all this, i still have the damn noise
i asked a few members with PSS kits about the noise, and they don't have any problems. even bilstein R&D was perplexed.
any ideas/suggestions?

Take a look at the clearance between your swaybar end links and the shock body of the Bilsteins. When going over bumps either the swaybar or the end links may be clunking into the shock body or the brake line mounting bracket. Your clunking noise sounds exactly like the noise I was getting following an aftermarket swaybar install.
