Hello s2kers ! I have a question, sometimes when I shift gears I can hear a knock sound coming from either the rear or the trans (can't tell which) but it's usually 2nd or 3rd from what I can tell occurs during normal driving. Also sometimes I do hear the diff kind of knock when I stop accelerating at high Rpms. And last but not least I have a vibration under acceleration from 38-50 mph but then goes away any ideas?

vibration under acceleration could be your axle buckets. A clunk in the diff could mean it needs to be shimmed

How do you shim a differential?

Could also be axle nut. If you feather the throttle while cruising, to sorta may the chassis rock will it make the noise then? Yes? Retorque your axle nuts. Also check your subframe bolts. 2.3 gears are usually used aggressively and the rest are cruised in so you may not notice it as much there. I'm not an expert. But I've experienced a good bit
