Thumbs up Clicking from the left rear of car and

this seems to have just started and happens about 80 to 85% of the time. Gonna' jack up the car this evening and have a look around. I'm thinking caliper mounting bolts, lug nuts / studs, exhaust maybe....... don't even tell me axles, please. I'm hoping it's something simple, inexpensive and fixable by me. Got the HELMS just in case.

Any known issues or common problems in this area?

Thanks folks.

Joe, Do a search on this, There are numerous posts of the axle nut creek, The solution appears to be re-torqueing the nut or something. I have never had the problem but many have.

Rear Axle Noise: A small number of owners report Rear Axle Nuts problems. Rear axle nuts are not loose. They just need to be re-torqued to keep the hub from shifting on the axle splines which make the tick tick noise. The axle nut is "staked" and will not come loose from the axle. This is distinguishable by a clicking sound during quick starts in forward or reverse; however, don

Folks, thanks for the ideas. Cooler heads have prevailed. I remember when I was researching this car and its previous owner charlie, he had a clicking noise from the front end. Well his problem is now my problem, the nut behind the valve stem came loose and is rolling around inside the tire and wheel.

At least it will be a cheap and painless fix.

Thanks again people.
