Default Clicking/Knocking From Engine Bay (Video Included)

I have a MY01 with approx 66k on it. After having a little fun on the highway i noticed the "card in the spokes" sound coming from the engine bay at low rpms. I was really busy for the next two weeks so I didnt have a chance to look under the hood as I thought it was the TCT. The noise did get louder after one week. Also after the first initial week, the "Maintenance Reqd" light came on.

My first reaction was to obviously change the TCT. Bought a brand new one from Honda and put fresh oil in. After I started the car after both the oil change and the new TCT, the clicking had significantly reduced but there was still a significant click that can be heard from the cabin and even louder from the engine bay. ALso, the "Maintenance Reqd" light is still on.

I included links to two videos of the noise from the engine bay and from the cabin.

What other scenarios can I be looking at? I have read about possible valve adjustments and cracked retainers.

Just wanted to ask the s2ki community before i take it to a mechanic. Im in Raleigh, NC so if anyone knows a good place to take the S please let me know.

Thanks a lot!

I've heard that a valve adjust is the other thing to try with this type of clicking noise, that could be due to valve lash. I don't have any experience on this, I've just read about it. Maybe somebody with some knowledge can chime in.

STOP RUNNING IT!! You may be able to just replace that rod if you quit spinning it.

Yeah I'm def going to stop running it. Has anyone else gone through this problem before. If so, what was your solution and how much did it end up costing. I have heard different solutions from just changing out one of the rods, to a new block to a new engine. Any promising stories? Or is it straight downhill from here?

Drop your oil pan and inspect your rod bearings.

You can clearly see the damage from the pics. Last 2 show good rod-bearings vs the bad.

Did that to my ap1 back in 2007.

Was the oil low? that is usually the only way to spin a bearing.
