Click from rear when starting in 1st
Disclaimer: Did a search and did not find anything
I'm getting a click from the rear (diff?)when starting out in 1st. It is a single click when the clutch disengages and torque is sent to the back. It is fine after that. I thought I remembered someone posting on here that the particular type of diff on our car does that, but I'm not sure? Any advice? Should I be worried or am I just being paranoid?
Thanks!

Is changing directions involved? There's a TSB for a pop from the rear axle when changing directions. If so, it's an easy fix to retorque and stake the axle nut. Do a search on "rear axle pop" for more info

start with the axle retorque as mentioned above and see if it continues.. I can't remember the specs off hand.. 220 ft lbs was the updated specs?? somebody correct me if that's wrong// either way you can't do it by hand.

We had a guy at the meet last week. Exact same thing. Start with the rear axle nuts. 99% chance that is your issue. Just do a search like was said you will find a lot of info on it. I think it was like 180 lbs from the factory and they recommend 220 lbs.
Hardest part is finding a torque wrench.
