Cleaning Engine Bay?
I usually get my engine detailed every month or so due to the dirt that collects with a vented hood. Im about to purchase a Comptech intake and was wondering how I will be able to clean the engine bay once the intake is installed. Any help is appreciated!

The Comptech intake really shouldn't change how you detail the engine bay since its a closed box. The only think I can think of is to cover the small opening where the prop-rod sits with some electrical tape while you are spraying it down.

Water builds up under the fliter in the box. I usually cover the filter with a bag and soak up the puddle of water with a rag under the filter when Im done.

I bought a small steam cleaner from Target... works great and has small head brushes that help scrub away the oily gooey areas. I like the idea of not using chemicals as well.
I spent $50 and it came with a million accesories/tips... also works well on undercarriage and wheels.

don't mean to hijack the thread, but how on earth did you guys get the rear bolt (towards firewall, on the rear stock air box bracket) in the air box installed???
I've tried and tried but for the life of me, it looks like there's a wire harness that gets in the way. I've pushed and pushed and crushed and still couldn't get the bolt in. Got the box installed with only the front and fender side bolts.
Any hints anyone?
