Clacking sound coming from Tein RAs?
I recently installed a set of Tein RA's and noticed a "clacking" sound of some sort coming from the passenger side rear. It sounds like the upper mount is hitting the chasis while going over bumps and uneven surfaces. Has anyone else have a similar experience?

Here's a quick check that you should do: check the spare tire's securing screw. Mine used to have that little annoying clank, then I found out it was the stupid screw that is used to secure the spare tire.
If it's not from the spare tire, then go elsewhere. But it's a quick check, so it won't hurt.

Thanks, I pulled out the spare all together.
I wonder if the empty spare wheel well minus all the trunk lining is amplifying the noise...
Regardless...I definatly hear something clacking

have you tried to retighten everything down there? LCA bolts, shock tower bolts, or the clamps that hold the spring/helper spring up?

It is probably the lock down nut for the spherical bearing in the pillowball mount. It happened to my friends CT9A. We installed it not checking everything because we assumed that TEIN adjusted everything accordingly. It was cool for about 300 miles and then "clack clack clack" anytime we went over a slight bump. Try tightening it. I think its a 17mm or 19mm. At least its the pass rear and not the drivers rear. That was hard to do in my car also...
BTW how does your RA's feel compared to stock?? Softer?? My RS' feel soft even at the stiffest setting.
Let me know if this works.

I am running JIC MAGIC FLT-A2's and i have the same EXACT symptoms. smooth roads everything is good, but the moment i go over a few little bumps and dips i get this clacking-lossebolt soounding- metal-to-metal noise. It is driving me crazy! i would like to find out what it is also, because the JIC's along with the tein ra come with the metal ball pillowball mounts.

Same here guys I have the Aragosta setup, albeit a bit harsh for standard British roads but they knock like mad.
I've checked them a couple of times and just been told its because they are much firmer than stock!!, just have to live with it.
