I'm using the OEM PCX-004 filter so I don't think it's that. When I changed the oil from 10w40 back to 10w30, I emptied the filter and there was oil in it and a decent amount too.
The oil I'm using is conventional Castrol GTX 10w30, I've been using it since I bought the car with 56K on it, now has 97k. I switched to their GTX High Mileage to lessen the oil burn-off around 80k, it helped a bit. I don't think the oil is the problem anymore either.
I had the valve clearances checked right after the noise appeared, I think he said cylinder 2 & 3 intake side were a bit off so he put them back to spec. He checked the oil pressure and I believe he said it was about 40 at idle and about 90 at 3Krpm.
The rattle is intermittent and only on cold starts. I do have a bit of loud ticking coming from the intake side of the cam chain case when cold, but I think that's normal as it goes away too, plus I think I'm just getting paranoid at this point.
here is another video that is almost identical to what my noise is like, thanks to dustin02rsx for finding it

the video poster said it was just common valvetrain noise, but I'm a little skeptic since it just appeared suddenly.
I'm hoping this noise is just normal, and something that comes along as the engine ages. But the paranoia is still there lol
