PEA is polyether amine. It cleans intake deposits without causing combustion chamber deposits. The more common additive is PBA, polubutene amine, which is also effective in cleaning intake deposits but contributes to combustion chamber deposits. Intake deposits occur on intake valve tulips and fuel injectors.

Note, Techron Fuel INJECTOR cleaner is a dilute version of Techron Fuel SYSTEM Cleaner, so I recommend the System stuff as being more effective.

this is probably a dumb question but when do you guys have to use injector cleaner. does it have to be everytime you put gas? how much cleaner you put? also what is the part number of the chevron injector cleaner.

you do not have to use it everytime you put gas in,...once a year is probably enough if at all that often.
I used some super concentrated Redline Fuel Injector cleaner once, wont use it again because I got a check engine light for a misfire as soon as I was done with the tank of gas. Could have been coincidence but who knows.

oh ok. i havent really use injector cleaner on my car. i drove for about 30xxx now and i havent really clean it. i got it used so i have know idea when the old owner even did a injector clean or something.
well they were saying that you can use it everytime you do your oild change. how much cleaner do you have put, do you put the whole bottle?

depends on the bottle,...some treat 20 gallons so you can usually split it up with our small tanks

I think our gas tank capacity is 13g us anywaysz. Im from canada so idk if there the same. So i guess half of the 20oz or just the 12oz of the cleaner and a full tank gas is fine.
