They cleared the code with a scanner. Pulling the fuse is not required.
when they use this scanner, does it read the ecu for any other codes?

It checks for any DTC's and all the freeze data stored with them.

with SlowS2k. I had a loose cap on my '06, tightened it, but the scrolling message did not go away until after a stretch of interstate driving. This may sound complicated, but it sure beats dealing with ambiguous OBD codes.

yeah, its nice having this, definitley prefer it over a CEL. less freaking out

This just happened to me the other day. I was freaking out as I had just bought the car!

But, I checked the gas cap and it had backed off a good amount. I took it to auto zone, he ran the CEL check and it was p1456, which is the gas cap.

He reset it and I have had no problems since!

BTW: Fish I met you a while ago. My buddy ryan bought a set of tail lights you sold(chrome rims style) I was with him, He had the berlina black 01. I just bought my 01 GPW a week and ahalf ago. I am glad I decided to get one, I love it!
