Check engine light won't turn off

Default Check engine light won't turn off

i put my invidia test pipe in and now the check engine light won't turn off. I put the sensors on and everything.....so i don't know why its not working. help me please.

P.S my car is running fine....just that stupid light won't turn off.

And why would you expect it to turn off anyway? The O2 sensor now senses inadequate catalytic converter function. No surprise here. You need to install an O2 simulator. Check the FAQs or search for this topic.

lol, if you have a check engine light, and then make the statement "my car is running fine" in the same sentence, then you should never do any work on your car ever.

also, you can't put a test pipe on without putting in an anti-fouler or a mechanical O2 simulator. otherwise you'll get a CEL. like you are.

Not True. The car may actually run fine. Since when a dtc detected the car is thrown into limp mode. The dtc comes on because it doesnt detect the catalyst conversion or because it isnt happening fast enough. You may use a device "trick" the pcm to clear the light and put the car back into closed loop operation.
