CHECK ENGINE LIGHT FLASHING...help
hey guys...recently my check engine light came on and when i pulled the code it was a misfire in cylinder 2. I drove the car for about another couple days and the light turned off so i really wasnt in too big of a rush to go get it fixed. Well a yesterday i was driving and the light came back on when i was on the freeway...then my car felt a little jerky and the CEL started flashing...so i put it in neutral and pulled over on the side of the road...before i could come to a complete stop....the engine cut out...was this caused by the misfire? any help would be greatly appreciated...thanks

First rule of idiot lights...
if they blink, STOP DRIVING IT X_X.
Most likely its not a big deal since your engine didnt go 'boom' but sounds like the coilpacks or the plug is bad in cyl 2...you didnt notice it, but the computer did..hence the CEL. It probably totally died when it started flashing x2. IDK why your engine would shut off, unless it has a knock sensor that will kill your engine to prevent damage?

I would say a coilpack is on the way out. Try swapping it with another one in another cylinder and see if the problem travels. However, it is recommended to get all 4 replaced at the same time.

Hmmm...that doesn't sound good. Hopefully it is just a coilpack, but I don't think I've heard of a coilpack causing a blinking CEL.

But I have a feeling that #3 is where you may stop.
