Default Check Engine Light with CAI.

HEY GUYS..I HAVE A QUICK QUESTION.
WE INSTALLED A AEM V2 ON MY FRIENDS S2K LAST NIGHT(03) AND A CHECK ENIGNE LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON. I KNOW YOU DONT USE ALL THE STOCK HOSES FORM THE STOCK AIR BOX BECAUSE THE AEM DOEESNT THAVE AS MANY TPLUGS ON IT FOR HOSES. THERE ARE 2 SMALL HOSES ON THE LEFT RIGHT BEFORE THE THROTTLE BODY AND ONE SEEMS TO BE HAVING A VACUME. CAN SOMEONE TELL ME OF ANY OF THESE 2 NEED TO BE HOOKED UP?
thanks, stew

You'll prbably get a better response if you:

A) Use a meaningful topic title
B) Turn off the CAPS LOCK

He lucked out having SlowS2K find his post.
I'm going to edit the title so it's more relevent - there's got to be HUNDREDS of threads entitled "HELP".

Xviper is the expert here and YOU MUST do a SEARCH. Xviper was nice enough to PM pictures with graphics to make sure each connection was correct, I basically disconnected all the hoses and one by one, step by step, redid each hose and then rest the ECU. It has now been 4 months and no CEL.

Check the 2 vacuum hoses

Either way, reset your ecu by unplugging the battery

Unplugging the battery to reset the ECU is unnecessary and can be considered doing it the "hard way". Not only will you have to punch in the radio code and reset your channels, but anytime you mess with the battery, you risk causing needless sparks.
The ECU on this car can be easily reset by simply pulling the "BACK UP" fuse under the dash for about 30 seconds. This resets the light and disturbs nothing else on the car.
