Default Check engine light on after MY04 Icebox install...

Aight guys,

I just installed the Icebox into my MY04. I started it after double checking all of the connections multiple times. Sounded like it kind of choked when the ignition started, and when I rev the engine, I can only get it up to 3 grand. Seems like a rev limiter is kicking in at that point. Any advice? Has comptech f-ed up the instructions?? I followed them word for word!!! What could've gone wrong??

I've already disconnected the battery, tried taking out the #25 fuse, and tried resetting the check engine light. Still having the same problems...*sigh*

Thanks!

LB

its related to rate of acceleration... if you gun it, like to hit vtec... it can poop out.

Another thought: I'm not all that familiar with the Ice Box but I imagine that the installation is quite similar to other CAIs. By any chance were you instructed to disconnect the MAP sensor harness? Or did you accidentally pull on it and cause a wire to lose contact? You should check that harness and that wiring closely. The 3K rpm cut-off and CEL sounds kinda like what would happen if you pulled that harness apart.
