Check Engine Light

Yea, I thought the same think. I am hoping that it didn't cause and damage. He tells me all the people that came to look at it wouldn't buy cause of that, so the price is down to 12,500. I think thats a pretty good price as long as I can figure out what is causing it and make sure it didn't cause any damage. What do you think? I am going to try to get ahold of him tonight to go check it with the scan tool I have at our shop.

I would check it with a scan tool and go from there. When I buy a used car I am meticulous about it. I would go as far as to jack the car up and check the diff fluid/tranny fluid to see if they were old as the car or had been changed when required.
I love buying used cars that are a couple of years old and well maintained because it lets the other guy eat the initial depreciation but you have to be VERY careful because a lot of times you are just buying someone's headache.

the light is due to the O2 sensors reading too much air and there is nothing wrong with the car
