Check engine light
Last night I had a check engine light come on and I pulled the code by using the a paperclip and connecting pin 1 with the ground and my check engine light flashed a code of the VSS. Also the speedometer and the odometer are not working. The speedo is only registering 0 at all speeds and the odometer doesnt move. Has anyone had this code happen to them? Thanks for the help. I also have a vortech and gears with the yellow jacket installed and I dont know if the wiring of that affects the vehicle speed sensor. Thanks for the help guys.

Billman knows his stuff, go with his suggestion.

your yellowjacket has a short in the wiring. the ecu is not getting a signal from the transmission's speed sensor. To rule out a faulty YJ, jump the blue and white (i think?) wires on the plug to the YJ. If it works then, you might have a bunk YJ.
