May sound silly, but my "check engine" light came on a couple of weeks ago (I've had my s2000 for about five weeks). I took it to the dealership, and they discovered the wrong gas cap had been put on her. They put the appropriate one on and the light went off.
Just a thought...

Could be refering to secondary air system. Nothing would be wrong as this has to do with cold temp. emissions....once warm the problem goes away. Tell me did you rev it up to listen to the new intake sound? Might have fooled the ECU. First ones free....If you keep up the reving a hards code may be set (i.e. in the ECU). air system something etc... problems
well i try to reset the ECU by removing the fuse n it work for only oneday and my friend use OBD II sys. to reset n it work for only one day n light come on next day.
when ever i or my friend reset the light the car feels light n powerful but when the check light on the car feels havy on acceleration. any body has any idea what's worrg with my car
please let me know
i have to take my car to my friend some time this week so i can tell me more info

My light has also been coming on and off intermitently over the last month or so. My dealer told me I am not screwing the gas cap on tight enough. I don't believe that since I have been very careful since the first trip to the dealer.
