Default check engine light

A friend of mine came over today and we installed an AEM cold air intake version 1 on my S. We were concerned about the two lines that people commonly reverse that sets off the check engine light. We got them put where they are to connect but the hoses were just a bit too big. After I took a short drive, the hoses backed off enough to start sucking air and that set off the check engine light. I put the hoses back on and attached them securely with some small tie wraps. I suppose that some small spring clamps would have been better, but I used what was at hand. They seem to be secure. How do I get the check engine light reset? I am not sure about this, but I imagine that the light won't go off by itself even if the problem is corrected. How do I reset it?

Thanks,
Scott
