possibly something in the trunk might have knocked something loose near your gas tank lines and a vaccum line back there got loose or isn't there something back there that could cause that code?

Black Nugget, Does your gas cap bind when 1st installing it on the fuel filler pipe? It should make about 3 revolutions then start clicking. If it clicks early or is hard to turn, you need a new fuel filler pipe. There is a service bulletin for 02-03 S2k's that covers this problem.
I love the autozone employee's response. They have no concept of the system in question.
Evaporative emmisions DTC's are not the easiest thing to diagnose. The Evap system is complicated and holds fuel vapor. Vapor leaks don't leave many visual clues to where they are.
