I know someone who is a tech at Honda and he's going to hook it up for me. I want to know what fluid I should buy? I have never changed the diff or tranny fluid. I have 50K miles. Also, should I switch over to synthetic motor oil? If so, what brand?

Motor oil: Currently Castrol GTX 10w-30

Diff: Mobil 1 75W-90?? or something else.

Tranny: DOT 3

Brake: DOT 3

your choice on the motor oil, but if you have been running regular 10w30 with no problems for this long i say stick with it, your choice if you want to go to synthetic.

diff- mobil1 75w90 is ok, there are others out there that are good too. like LE1605 or any of the amsoil products

Tranny - DOT3 WTF NOOOOOOOOO stick with the Honda MTF version 2 fluid, green label white cap.

Brake: either DOT 3 or DOT 4, your choice, if you decide to go DOT 4 make sure you completely flush the old stuff out. You could also try ATE superblue. heard nothing but good things about this fluid.

Use any oil you like too many to mention here, I like Amsoil but to each their own.

I definitely recommend Amsoil 75w-110 in the differential, it's a perfect fluid for our vehicile, only needs less than a quart.

Honda MTF for tranny, and Honda brake fluid for brakes and clutch.
