I had my local speed shop try to lower my vtec on the Apexi 2 and we could not get the vtec to engage. it when into limp mode everytime I went above 6k. We had to switch it back. They couldn't give me an explanation, it happended on another 2001 s2k the same week. I have not heard back from them. It was the Showzone in Summerville, SC. Should I go somewhere else? Anybody have any ideas.
My car runs great with the tuning but the vtec engagement is stock. I've got a Comptech icebox and a 50 shot of nitrous. other than that the engine is stock.

Are you using a harness, or did you have them splice into the factory wiring? I'd recommend picking up a harness if you can find one... it's worth the investment. It'll keep you from screwing up your connections. Once you get that, if you still have problems, then you can almost guarantee that the problem is with your settings. But until then, I'd suspect a faulty or mis-routed connection.

dts47, i would find another shop. I don't really know of any good tuner i would trust in the lowcountry. That is why I try to do my own mods. Did you attend the last meet in charleston? Good luck

I'm not sure where you're located, but I'd definitely recommend taking your car to Jack at P1 Auto in Fort Mill, SC. He knows Hondas like nobody else I know, not to mention he was the H1 Honda Challenge Champion. I drove over 8 hrs for him to tune my car because I don't trust anyone else. www.p1auto.com
