Th laziness only factors in whether or not I would take the job on. When I start something I'm pretty single minded until it's done. I'd even say I probably work fast.

Thanks for all the responses, I'll think about it.

we're talking about one guy, who admits he is lazy, on his first time. what's your estimate on how long that will take then?

Not 100% accurate = it doesn't take a ton of tools to do the job. It really only takes a few basic tools, a drill, and a riveter. You also don't have to work at the speed of "lightening" to do the job by yourself in 6 hours. I'd say you could stretch the job out to 8 hours if include a lunch break and a trip to the store. Now that I've done the job once I could do it again in under 4 hours.

I am a steady, mythodical worker and don't take breaks when I start a job. To reference a more common job, it takes me about 30 minutes to replace a set of pads and rotors.

Everyone makes this task out to be overly complicated. It is rather unnerving to see the skeleton without a top, but it was easy enough to install. As prep work I reccommend printing and reading the DIY install instructions *several* times and making sure you have everything you need on-hand.

There have been pictures on here of poorly installed tops, even by Honda mechanics.
My dealer always sends out soft top work to an upholstery shop.
