Changing rear cv axle.

Changing rear cv axle.
So I took my rear right wheel off to replace the axle. Got down to unfolding the axle from the differential and damn are those bolts stuck. Tried PB blaster and acetone/atf with no luck. Tried a propane torch. Nothing.
Then it occurred to me: if the only thing wrong with my old axle was the outer boot spitting grease... Could I just replace the outer boot on the old Shaft with the outer boot on the new Shaft? New one is not OEM, though. It's either that or break out the Drexel and cut off discs.

Keep working on those bolts. More leverage will do the job. Breaker bars down the guts of a 2-3 foot pole never fail for me. Or if you can unbolt your rear muffler and get a grinder in there just cut the heads off them. Make sure you cut from the outer side so you damage the axle your replacing and not the diff housing
