Changing Parking Lights

Changing Parking Lights
So one of my parking lights went out and i decided to change them with some 3 buck led bulbs from ebay.
IT WAS A PAIN. passenger side went in fine but driver side i lost the bulb in the headlight and ended up tearing the whole thing out 15min -> 3 hours.
SO lesson here for anyone about to do this gay shyt is...
try taking loosening the fender liner and try to fiddle with it. if first few attempts do not work or your hands are not child size then i suggest highly! that you remove the front bumper and take the whole headlight out.
sure i came up some extra clips and a screw to hold the headlight (theres 4 total.)
but everything works now.
ps. for the plug in that goes to the HID i hope it doesnt matter which way it goes. lights work just hope it doesnt blow anything.

i thought it would be a 10-15 min job to replace a blown parking light bulb, i sweated my ass off for 45 min in 100 degree weather outdoors changing that one little bulb. busted up my hand pretty good too haha.
btw i used the fender liner method.

sorry to hear that you lost your bulb.
I also used the fender method where you turn the wheel and bring the fender back enough so you can put your hand through.
That's odd how you lost your light since I just pulled the wire out and replaced the bulb outside of the headlights (this way, you can't lose your bulbs ;] )

haha funny story how that happend.
well fender mod worked decently fast on the passenger side course i think i got lucky (15min)
as i was trying to secure the driver side all my fiddling must have knocked the bulb loose so it fell inside the headlight (where you screw in the socket) after pliers failed my ingenius plan to put tape at the end of a small screw driver successfully pulled it out but then it dropped down a crevice between the inside and out. ending up IN the headlamp. had to pull off the ballast so it could drop out.

it was some automotive LED from ebay thats the same size as the stock bulb. 2827 or something of that nature. id check the sylvania website.
the ones i bought were like 3.50 for two. in my opinion they seem to be dimmer than the oem bulbs (probably cause the led lighs dont reach as far and are only shooting light forward and not all around)
no resister needed and the parking lights dont flash (except when you unlock the car).

Jack up car
Remove wheel
Remove fender liner clips
Peel back fender liner
Replace bulb.
Check that new bulbs work
Re-install
I did both front light in <30 min this past spring. I've had the bumper off many times before but this was much easier / faster.
