Changing the filter on an Injen or AEM CAI without removing the bumper.
I'm thinking about getting a C-West front clip on my car. Once it get's painted and installed, I don't want to remove it as I'm afraid of damaging it. I have an Injen CAI, and to install it, I had to remove the front bumper. I was wondering if anybody tried changing their CAI filter by removing the front passenger wheel and then dropping the plastic inner fender well. Thanks in advance for any inputs.

There is no need to do any of what you said. If you jack up the car in the front, particularly on the side the filter is on, you can undo all the fasteners around that corner belly pan (plastic) just under where the filter resides. Do this on a warm day so the plastic won't be brittle. You can then carefully bend back that corner belly pan and access the filter from below. When I had my AEM, this is how I installed it. The bumper never came off.
