Default Changing Diff Fluid

i hear like a whining noise coming from the rear when i turn to the left or the right, i just had my diff fluid changed but i was wondering if i could go to like a synthetic mobil fluid after i been using regular honda diff fluid. i heard in another forom people talking about this noise, but know one knew what it was .. thanks for your help

Get some LE607 for the dif. Changing from the crap that's in there now to this stuff will do lots of good and no harm.

uh oh, if you had your honda dealer change your diff fluid, and now you are hearing strange noises, I bet they put in the wrong diff fluid. i bet they put in the one made for the AWD CRV, and this fluid is not compatible with the s2000's differential. i would check your work order and see if it specifies what fluid they used or call them and ask.

do a search, several people have had the dealer replace the differential fluid and used the wrong fluid and toasted the differential.

And get that stuff out of there asap if they did put the wrong fluid in there.

i asked them they told me they put gl 5 or something

i just bought the new stuff but gm sells an additive for diffs should i add this to it ?

No, the Torsen diff in this car doesn't require friction modifiers like other clutch type LSDs sometimes benefit from.
