Default Changed Wheels/Tires, now get VSA light in turns?!

Hi everyone!

Good Veteran's Day morning to you all. Well I recently changed my wheels from 18''s to 17''s and replaced the worn rear tires. However, it seems like only when I take a right turn at higher speeds (such as a highway on-ramp or interchange) my car feels like it's applying the brakes and my car seems to be losing traction and the VSA light starts blinking and going crazy. I have tried repeating the same thing going on left turns and so far no VSA. I have also never had this problem on my previous 18'' wheel setup. Does anyknow what could cause this? Is it because my rear tires need to be broken/worn in a little? I also had my alignment done but it wasn't that great so I'm going back.

Also, is it safe to change wheels using the lug wrench in the trunk? When I get a chance I'm going to a shop to get them properly torqued. I also have BBS lug nuts that have heads that are too big to fit the lug wrench. What gives?!
