Changed to Redline 5W-20 for my AP2

I changed my oil this weekend to Redline 5W-20, and kept a sample of the old oil (from the previous owner) to send to Blackstone for a baseline. To my surprise, there is no noticeable increase in valve noise. I was expecting to get some increase in valve noise just from the thin wall header that I installed at the same time.
I have just under 11K miles on my car now, so I'll send a sample to Blackstone at around 12K.

You said the sample would be sent at 12k, you must mean a 12,000 mile interval, not that you will send it when your car reaches 12k correct (that would only be a 1k interval). Just checking.
Look forward to future information on this post, good luck. Let us know if the car feels any different driving it too.

I should have mentioned that my valves are adjusted tighter than the minimum spec, so would probably be quieter than most anyway. I'm all about reducing the OEM slop wherever I can!
I did mean to say that I would send a sample for UOA at 12K miles on the odometer (1K interval), so that I can gain some comfort that I'm not toasting my motor with the thinner oil. I will make a decision about how long I will leave this oil in based on that UOA.

I was only going to take a sample at 12K, not do a full oil change. My plan was to install an oil drain valve when I did the swap over the weekend, but I didn't order the extension adapter that is needed. My current plan is to:
1) Get the needed drain valve adapter
2) Remove the OEM drain plug and let the oil drain into a clean container
3) Take a sample while the oil is draining
4) Install the drain valve and adapter
5) Pour the drained oil back into the engine
Since I plan to do track events this year, and don't feel comfortable using 5W-20 for them, I plan to swap and reuse oil before / after each track event using the method above.

I see a new mod: wing-bolts for the oil pan, and a quick-changeover of the pan at the track.
WTB: F22C oil pan!
