i'll just stick with dino oil 5w-30 or 10w-30, seems to work A.O.K. according to this UOA report, but good thread, it's good to know how different oils affect the engine or how the engine affects the oil. And i suppose that the type of oil you use depends on the climate where you do most of ur driving or the application you intend to put the oil through(track, track/street, cruising, etc.).

thanks for keeping the info. flowing on this subject. I guess the best thing you can say is that the 20 weight oil didn't do any worse than the thicker oil, which is good. In the case of Aluminum it dropped a good bit. I find some of the wear metals to be on the high side, but that is likely just due to hard driving/use and it was present with the previous oil. Good info !.

Well.. if this doesn't prove a 20 weight is ok for the F22, then nothing does.
That said, on BITOG the "consensus" about UOA's & wear metals is that.... UOA's are... hmmm.... almost... useless because the bigger particals are not detected by the spectrometers used to do this analysis.
A few ppm of "fine dust" is not that important, its the bigger parts that matter.
It takes a much more expensive test to detect them.
The ultimate wear check is a tear-down & measurement.
Bummer

UOA showed a good TBN, no fuel, no coolant, no silicon and viscosty was allright.
