Default Changed pads/rotors 4 months ago now....

I was at the beach for 4 days and I noticed my brakes squealing a bit after I left the resort, I just figured it was sea salt or something because it went away after a few minutes. That was 2 weeks ago and it still squeals every once and a while, maybe once or twice a day while driving. Any ideas what would be causing this. I check the pads and they have tons left and the rotors are smooth.

Brake dust. Causes noises. If the install was done properly, this is normal. Dont fret.

If theses are OEM pads, try taking the pads off and putting some grease on both sides of the shims and on the back face of the pads. That sometimes solves the squealing problems. Otherwise be glad you're not driving a school bus!

dont use grease...i dunno if your cheap or dont know what your doing...use disc brake quiet made by permatex on the back of the pad and also clean and lubricate your slider pins and make sure the caliper/bore is not seizing up.

Many non-OEM pads squeal...with or without grease or Brake Quiet on the anti-squeal shims.
