Default Changed Brake,Clutch & Trans Oil Today

As a matter of habit,I change Brake & Clutch fluids every 10-15k

Brake fluid was clear out,but clutch fluid was a little merky.Flushed both twice and changed to Valvoline All Syn Dot 4.Both feel better.

Trans fluid was the GM Syncromesh FM,2 qtrs. The 1-2 and 2-3 shifts both are less notchy than before.Trans Gear whine at hwy speeds also seems to be less.

FedX lost my LE601 Gear Oil order from Gofast.

Huh?

What happened to your order? What's the order# and I'll look into it for you.

J.P.

EDIT: NM, I found it.

Aug 25, 2004 5:50 AM In transit PHOENIX, AZ
5:22 AM Shipment exception PHOENIX, AZ Barcode label unreadable and replaced

Looks like they mangled the label somehow. I always put them in their supplied plastic pouches so they ed it up. It still shows a delivery date of 8/31 so you should have it next week, I don't think it's gone forever

Gear oil to be changed in a couple of days.I'll post my opinion on it in about a week.

I'm glad you got the package finally. Was it damaged beyone being used? If so I can try to file a claim with FedEx and send you a new bottle. Let me know.

I've lost or received damaged 10 times more packages with UPS than FedEx. No contest, FedEx blows away the other services out there...but even they're not perfect (obviously)

Thanks.Looks like it "peed" about 1/4 of a qt.The inside plastic sleeve was full of oil.

I've got enuff to change the diff 1 time.I bought 2 to have a spare and just in case I had a leak in the future.

I appreciate your help.

Well, you need .8 qts to do a proper change, a full quart won't fit in the diff, so you might be OK to do two changes anyway, even if you have to crack open the 2nd bottle to "top off" the diff.

I'm sorry for the trouble.
