It is definitely NOT the gas cap. The CEL will not code in 5 seconds with a gas cap issue. You have a hard fault...I'm going to guess here

02 heater circuit malfunction, bank 1 sensor 2 (in the cat).

But get it scanned first, don't go on my guess

BTW...I was in AID Auto Store the other day. OBDII code reader, 80 bucks. Go get one.

If you're in Vancouver and are willing to drive to Mt Vernon in WA, go to the AutoZone there and they'll read the code for you for free then come on here and look up the code. I have it printed out if you cant find the thread.

Thanks for all of the input and help guys. I'm going to get my tech at Acura/Honda to read the code for me tomorrow, and I will report back once the results are in.

0042 is your cat i think... i was just at the dealership and i believe that's the only code they got for me.

Just had my buddy scan the code. It says it's the secondary O2. If I replace the o2 in the cat, that should fix it??
