Thumbs down CEL and VSA Light

My s2000 had some work done to the engine lately that involved removing the head. After it was done i did some vtec'ing and some time shortly after, my cel, the VSA and the warning light came on. This happened at night so I went home and let the car cool off before I checked under the hood. When i went back out to check, the VSA and the warning light turned off, but the cel was still on. The next day it happened to snow so i couldn't go get it checked. When the snowed cleared, i drove it around for awhile. When i went back to start the car, the cel went off too. The lights have been off for about two weeks now. Well, today was a warm day so i decided to take it for a spin. I got into vtec and life was great (at the moment). When i got home at night, all of a sudden the CEL, the VSA and the warning light came on again. When, i drove the S normally, the lights stayed off. And when i vtec it, the lights would come on (this has happened twice before today). And when i do try to go check the light, the light would turn off before i would somehow get there. I am wondering, does anyone know WTH is going on??

Take your car to a parts store like autozone or advance auto parts and get the code read. It'll read even if your CEL is off. It stays in memory. They'll be able to tell you what's going on.

the codes were P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303. all misfires, but the car was running ok. the misfires were caused by, when i removed the head to get new valves, the the valve latches were never readjusted. compression test showed a 198, 230, 205, 232. a valve adjustment was done and the compression came out to be 228, 235, 230 and 230. and the CEL has been cleared. so far so good, no CEL. i have been vtec'ing and sounds good.
